Digital DentistryPort St. Lucie, FL
Digital Dentistry is modern dentistry using the latest technology to offer the best dentistry.
Intra Oral Scanners – 3Shape Trios Scanner
Intra Oral Scanners are a modern technology tool used to take impressions of a patient's mouth for procedures like crowns, bridges, aligners, or hybrid dentures. The scanner captures 3D images of the patients' teeth, soft tissues, and bites to make the process faster and more comfortable compared to traditional impressions.
In our offices, we use 3Shape Trios Scanners because of their great reputation, accuracy, and cutting-edge technology.
iCam – Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry in dentistry is cutting-edge digital technology used to capture highly accurate 3D representations of a patient's mouth. This technology is specifically used in our office for implant dentures. With this too,l we are able to deliver same-day teeth to patients who are getting an implant denture. Previously patients would not be able to leave with a hybrid denture attached to their implants on the same day they have teeth removal and implant surgery. Not only can we deliver a brand new smile in one day, but the patient also has to come to far fewer dental visits.
How does it work? The iCam precisely measures the implant placement on the day of surgery and that information is sent to the computer where the denture is designed. The intra-oral scans from the Trios, CT scans, facial scans, and the measurements from the iCam line up to create a denture that will fit onto the implants precisely. This technology is highly accurate, noninvasive, efficient, and cost-effective.
Facial Scanner
The dental-facial scanner is a technology used to map facial features in three dimensions to help create the ideal design for your new smile based on the size and shape of your face and skull. We use facial scanners mostly for implant placement and hybrid denture design.
It helps your dentist, dental technician, and patient visualize and understand treatment goals and outcomes. It also allows your dentist to reduce errors in the prosthetic final denture.
Facial scanners are revolutionizing digital dentistry by integrating facial esthetics with functional dental treatments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
SpritRay 3D Printer
The SprintRay 3D Printer is another cutting-edge digital dentistry tool designed for fast, precise, and efficient in-office dental fabrication of wax-ups, surgical guides, night guards, immediate implant dentures, and more. It allows us to speed up the dental process with high accuracy and minimal turnaround time.
Our 3D printer allows same-day or same-week treatments to be possible in our St Lucie Dental Office. Without this tool, a dentist will have to send out to dental laboratories with 1-3 week turnaround times.
Our patients often comment on how easy their dental experience is with us, compared to prior dental offices due to all our our technology.
Zirconia Mills
Zirconia Mill is a CAD/CAM computer-aided machine used to fabricate dental restorations from zirconia blocks or discs. Zirconia is a high-strength ceramic material widely used in crowns, bridges, and implant restorations due to its durability, biocompatibility, and esthetics.
Zirconia is very strong, super esthetics, creates precise fit, and allows us to offer faster turnaround times with lab work. Also, we are able to manufacture lab work here in our office and have a higher level of control over our product.
There are wet and dry mills:
- Dry Milling is faster and more efficient for hard zirconia and what we use in our dental office.
- Wet Milling uses a coolant to prevent heat buildup and is used for metal milling.
At St Lucie Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, we use the Roland mill.
