  • tooth extraction
  • root canal
  • crown/ filling
  • gum cleaning

When you have a toothache or tooth pain we will schedule you right away and take a x-ray of the area.  Our highly trained dentists in Port St Lucie will evaluate you and give you solutions for toothache relief.  In most cases we can treat our patients the same day.  There are rare times when medical conditions of the patient limit what we can do without additional medical clearance from your doctor.

If you are reading this article after hours, leave us a message or schedule an appointment on our website and we will call you as soon as we open.  You are also welcome to walk in at 8am when we open and we will fit you in.  New patient appointments are only $79 for the x-ray and exam.  A dentist will examine your tooth and tell you what options you have.

We offer nitrous and oral sedation for those patients who are anxious or fearful of dental procedures.

Emergency rooms will typically refer you to a dentist to get the treatment you need; they can however, offer medications and short term solutions if you absolutely can not wait throughout the night.

At home remedies for tooth pain:

Unfortunately once a tooth becomes painful there is very little you can do at home.

If you are unable to come to our office right away you can take ibuprofen and acetaminophen together.  Some studies have shown this combination may even work better than many opioid pain medications to relieve tooth pain.

The reason you can take them together is because they work different and are eliminated from the body by different organs.

You can take 200 mg to 400 mg of ibuprofen every 6 to 8 hours. The maximum dose of ibuprofen is 2400 mg per day.

For acetaminophen it depends on the strength of the pill.

  • For the 325 mg pills, you can take 2 pills every 6 hours
  • For the 500 mg pills, you can take up to 2 pills every 8 hours
